President Duties
ADMINISTRATION
As Chief Chapter Executive, the President shall coordinate and insure that the officers and the committee chairmen of the chapter fulfill their individual responsibilities. In the event that an officer or chairman cannot perform a duty, the President shall assume the responsibility until he/she appoints another member. Chapter officers include: Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Wagonmaster.
APPOINTMENTS
The President shall appoint Committee chairmen that shall include: Communications Chairman, Net Director, Newsletter Editor, Publisher, Membership Chairman, and Sergeant at Arms. The duties of the Committee Chairmen may be accomplished by the President if necessary.
GOOD SAM MEETINGS
The President shall attend all required Good Sam Meetings or shall appoint a representative to attend these meetings.
CHAPTER MEETINGS
The President shall conduct all chapter meetings or shall designate another officer to conduct the meeting. Normally the Vice President shall preside in the absence of the President.
CAMPOUTS
The President shall attend most campouts and insure that the necessary officers and representatives are to be present. Since at each campout, the chapter has a regular meeting, these include a President, Host, Wagonmaster, Treasurer, Secretary, or an assistant or appointed representative. Since a campground payment is usually necessary, a payment check must be planned.
REPORTS
The President shall report to the membership any action at National Club level through the Southern California Director of Good Sams.
ELECTION OF NEW OFFICERS
The President shall designate an election committee composed of past chapter presidents to prepare a slate of officers for the following year. Each perspective officer shall be advised as to what duties shall be expected of him/her and must agree to assume the required responsibilities.
